A Day in Greenport

Whenever I’m getting ready to leave the country I become very aware of the Island that I live on. Chris and I decided to take an impromptu trip out to the Island’s North Fork and visit the beautiful little village of Greenport. I’ve been out this way before, but never during the summer months. It was absolutely beautiful! This little town was totally our speed. There were so many small businesses and little antique shops. One antique shop even had a golden retriever in residence 🙂

As you walk through the town you eventually hit water! It’s great watching the ferry from Shelter Island come back and forth.

Eventually we decided to sit down and eat. We found a great little mexican restaurant with the BEST tacos I’ve ever had. Hands down, the best. It was such a great little restaurant with a friendly staff, colorful walls and tables, awesome food and of course, the World Cup.

And, they’re drinks were served in colorful mason jars 🙂

This little LONG Island that we live on is pretty great. There are so many great places to see, especially in the summer. I’m really grateful that we were able to make it out east before I leave this upcoming Wednesday.

Love and Prayers,
